Srinagar, Aug 16 (KNO): The casual laborers of the Wildlife Department on Friday staged a protest outside Dachigam National Park here, demanding release of pending wages. The workers speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said they have been on strike since June 20, and are demanding the release of their pending wages and information regarding their employment status. The protesters also claimed that despite repeated requests to the concerned officials, their issues have yet to be addressed. “We are here outside Dachigam National Park, to press our demands as nothing has been done so far,” one of the protesters said. “Our protest will continue until we receive our pending wages and the necessary information, they added.” The protestors demanded authorities to take immediate action to resolve their grievances—(KNO)
